We have an HTML5 video autoplaying in the header of one of our client websites, which was working great in Firefox and Chrome, but not in Safari. Safari was waiting until the entire video was downloaded before it would start playing–Chrome and FireFox would play it pretty much immediately.
With some help from Stack Overflow, we relocated the moov atom to the start of the file, and voila! Issue solved.
