Objective
Being the standard bearer for accessible and adaptive clothing, Buck & Buck partnered with Montana Banana to bring their aging site into the current era. Utilizing modern design concepts, mobile-friendly UX, and a conversion-centered checkout process our teams worked together to successfully navigate these improvements without sacrificing the well-established user experience Buck & Buck’s customers have grown accustomed to.
The Challenge
Develop a robust eCommerce website with an easy-to-use admin interface that allows for extensive customizations. And minimize checkout roadblocks caused by aggressive validation requirements and external API connections while maintaining a safe & secure payment gateway.
Our Solution
Magento2 eCommerce platform. The Adobe owned Magento platform continues to be one of the leading eCommerce platforms across the web. Magento met all of Buck & Buck’s requirements but also gave us a solid foundation of out-of-the-box eCommerce functionality!!
Simplified & Secure checkout process. Allowing customers to proceed through the checkout process by removing unnecessary roadblocks was paramount to the success of this site. Our development team connected multiple APIs to seamlessly communicate with the site to pair customer accounts with Buck & Buck’s proprietary customer database as well as generate/update the “account wallet” which is encrypted and safely stored for future use. Additional safety nets were developed to allow API connections to gracefully fail without blocking the transaction.
